With a captivating opening keynote address by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the visionary inventor of the World Wide Web, the WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2023 was formally launched at the CityCube of Messe Berlin on July 27-28, 2023. His groundbreaking contributions not only shaped the modern Internet, but also paved the way for the future of the technology.

Almost 20 years of professional experience in the MICE industry make Gerry Schneider a complete professional in the industry. He laid the foundation for his career in congress management at NetHotels in Vienna. He then moved to the University of Vienna, where he successfully built up the congress and conference services division for eleven years, enabling him to serve numerous academic events as an in-house PCO (Professional Congress Organiser). In February 2020, he moved to WeAreDevelopers to implement a new event strategy.
