Telegraphenamt

Conference hotel

A masterpiece of neo-baroque architecture, the main telegraph office from 1916, has been extensively modernised in recent years and is now an urban, cosmopolitan hotspot in Berlin. The man behind the innovative concept is Roland Mary, owner of borchardt and the hotel.
The hotel's interior reflects the Berlin of the 1920s and 1970s, skilfully combining the history of the building with the city's contemporary attitude towards life. Historic columns, vaulted ceilings and exposed brick walls blend seamlessly with the modern interior design by the renowned design firm Dreimeta. The rooms offer breathtaking views of the picturesque Monbijou Park, the Berlin Cathedral, the Pergamon Museum, the Red City Hall and the imposing TV tower. Particularly impressive are the five maisonettes with their high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, which create a unique living experience.
In the same building as the hotel, you will find the ROOT restaurant, which offers a rich variety of flavours and culinary philosophies. From sushi to curry to freshly grilled fish and meat dishes, favourite foods from around the world can be enjoyed under a large glass dome.
